Professora Lethicia Antuness aus Rio de Janeiro BRASIL
born in Niterói – Rio de Janeiro, started dancing at the age of 12 and began with
Hip Hop, Jazz and Lambaeróbica. In 2008, she began taking lessons in couple dances such as Samba,
Zouk and of course, Forró.
In 2014, she participated in Forró Electronico with the band Aviões do Forró in Rede Globo’s
Esquenta programme, where she met Marquinhos do Forró and was invited to be part of his team,
traveling to several places in Sao Paulo and Rio to teach dance classes and workshops.
She met the “Forró Roots” style of forró, which is characterized by leg and footwork variations and
turns, in May 2015 and since then has specialised in this style, teaching workshops at some of Brazils
largest festivals together with teachers such as Yse Góes, Daniel Marinho, Mariana Brasil, Tau
Macedo, Hugo Silva and Lydio Neto.
With a wealth of experience and knowledge in Forró and other partner dance styles, she gives
private lessons and group workshops for dancers of levels, working on rhythm, leading, following,
musicality, body conduction and posture.
